Behind the Scenes of Bradford: Spencer's Alter Ego

Squeaking this in under the wire, but here's the Behind the Scenes of Bradford post for Wednesday: a Q&A with Lane, the model who portrays Spencer, our Bradford GoldenGirl. She's no stranger to tiaras herself, having represented the USA at the most recent Miss World Pageant. Tiaras forever!

Tell us a little about yourself.
I'm a freshman at the University of Georgia. I am very active in my sorority, Kappa Delta. I enjoy working with philanthropies and raising money for those who are less fortunate than I have been. I also model in New York and Miami. I just returned from South Africa after representing the United States at the Miss World Pageant.

Have you ever considered being an actress?
I have considered it before, but haven't gotten the chance to pursue acting...yet. :)

Was it more difficult for you to do this photo shoot than a regular shoot, knowing that you were also portraying a character in a book?
Yes, it was more difficult because I had a specific personality type that I was trying to portray.

What’s your most vivid memory of that photo shoot?
It was a lot of fun! All of us got along really well, and it was a great group to work with. It was one of my most enjoyable shoots that I have done. We got to go dancing at a club at nine in the morning. It was pretty funny!

What kind of books do you like to read? What are you reading right now?
I just finished Twilight, but as of now, textbooks are my main priority and I don't get much time for leisure reading.

Thanks for stopping by the blog bash, Lane!

  1. If she likes "Twilight," it sounds like she and Mads may have some common reading ground. Next up: Bradford book club?

  2. Wow, a Miss World Pageant contest for a cover model? Craziness.

  3. That's awesome that she was in Miss World! I love pageants! And she's a very pretty girl. She is how I would've envisioned Spencer.

  4. Yeah, she's a pretty perfect Spencer...and while I love the cover of GoldenGirl, I also think she is adorable when she's smiling.
